Parents:
We are rapidly approaching the beginning of the 
2007/2008
school year. I know the adoption of school uniforms has caused
quite a bit of excitement in the community. A tremendous amount
of work by many people has taken place in order to ensure a smooth
implementation. As with any implementation, we do anticipate some
challenges. There may be some initial shortages as vendors get a
complete understanding of the numbers of uniform components needed.
Please remember that the school uniforms are voluntary until after the
Winter Break.
Attached is the list of authorized uniform components and a list of vendors with approximate prices. I am putting this information out at this time because of the many requests for information from parents. This information is valid as of today, 25 July 2007 and is accurate to the best of my knowledge. Please note that it is not required to purchase all the components. We authorized different components and vendors to allow parents/students to make choices while maintaining a consistent uniform. Not all of the vendors will be able to provide all the components, however all the vendors will be able to provide the basic components - navy blue/white tops and khaki bottoms.

Uniform Vendors
DoDEA has no official relationship with any vendors and the information below is being provided to parents as a courtesy. As a courtesy to customers, the Exchanges have indicated they will have a special section of their stores dedicated to our uniforms. The prices quoted below are approximate and are based upon conversations with the vendors. This information is valid as of 25 July 07.
1. AAFES at Andersen Air Force Base expects to have uniform items in the August/September time frame. Prices should be in the $20-$25 range per set.
2. NEX at Naval Base Guam expects to have uniform items in the August/September time frame. Prices should be in the $20-$25 range per set.
3. Royal Bics, located in the Guam Premier Outlets, will have a full line of uniforms by mid-August. Prices are $9-$12 for tops and $11-$14 for bottoms and offers free alterations.
4. Gino’s, located in the Agana Mall, will have a full range of items by mid-August. Prices are $12-$13 for tops and $16-$17 for bottoms. They will offer a promotional package of five sets – assorted tops and bottoms, for $110.
5. Gino’s and Royal Bics will be able to offer the sweater, jacket, and gray pullover sweatshirt (hoodie).
6. Paul's, located in Micronesia Mall.
